I also saw hints of Volkswagen Bus in it as well. In the animated films 'Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island' (1998) and 'Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost' (1999), the Mystery Machine is obviously a 1995 Chevrolet Astro or GMC Safari cargo van. It is easily identifiable as such because it has the streamlined headlamps of the 1996-newer models but the interior of the 1990-1994 models. This style was exclusive to 1995, as 1994-older models retained the original front fascia while 1996 models got a completely redesigned interior with dual airbags. - This is a 1981 Bedford CF with the 2.3 Turbo Diesel from a Frontera. It's endearing, so much so that it pains me to get rid of it. Driving it you feel like king of the road. I've had so many thumbs up smoking around in this. You'll probably not see another one with this swap done. Cheap insurance!
